Taraki House Museum is a unique contemporary history site. This place was the scene of the first PDPA Congress and the start of an enthusiastic and fulfilling journey for conflicting sides. In 1964 most of the democratic leftist groups have gathered here to establish the most organized and nation wide party in the history of Afghanistan. Noor M. Taraki hosted the congress in the south west room of the house called the Congress room.
The front yard of the house is depicted in an historic photo in which the congress members and elected officials ares handing around Taraki.
According to the witnesses Mr. Tahir Badakhshi, then a prominent member of the party and a close friend of Taraki took this photo.
